Production R&D

In order to remain competitive and to penetrate new markets, Addchance places strong emphasis on production research & development. The production R&D team are highly qualified with unique skills and experience in the trade. The production development team has successfully mastered various dyeing techniques on contemporary textile materials, such as tencel yarn, tencel/wool blended, tencel/rayon blended, soybean protein fibre, bamboo, bamboo/cotton blended and PLA (corn fibre).

Dyeing process includes formulation of dyeing solution which composes and mixes with different dyeing chemicals. Addchance’s production development team keeps abreast of the introduction of new dyeing chemicals in the market and discusses with dyeing chemical suppliers on the development of dyeing solution and the application methodology on yarn products.

In order to ensure that the quality of the Group’s products can satisfy different international standards, the Group has set up a textile laboratory testing centre in Zhangjiagang Dyeing Mill to conduct in-house quality control test in accordance with international testing standards such as AATCC and ASTM. AATCC testing standard includes colourfastness to crocking, perspiration, light, laundering, dry-cleaning, dimensional changes of fabrics and garment. ASTM testing standard cover a wide spectrum of yarn and fabric products including breaking strength of yarn, tensile properties of yarns, pilling resistance and hydraulic bursting strength of textile fabrics. By working closely with its suppliers, we are able to keep abreast of the latest development of raw materials, their usage and functionality.
